About Cortney E. Walters, Esq.
A Magna Cum Laude graduate of Howard University in 2013, she built a solid academic foundation that underpins her practical legal prowess today. Ms. Walters’ journey continued at The St. Thomas University School of Law in Miami, Florida, where she graduated with honors in 2016, further honing her legal acumen while contributing to the St. Thomas Law Review and participating in the University’s esteemed Trial Team.
Inducted into the Florida Bar in September of 2016, Ms. Walters hit the ground running as an Assistant Public Defender, passionately serving the citizens of Orange County and Broward County, Florida. With a portfolio comprising hundreds of criminal cases, her experience spans the breadth of legal complexities from misdemeanors, DUIs, and felonies. Her vigorous advocacy has continually resulted in successful defense outcomes for her clients across a myriad of criminal issues.
